The year 2020 will see the number will increase to 41 hits that fall into this category. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with an English version in the year 2017 shortly after which the most well-known artists began collaborating together with reggaeton groups. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny for the production of MIA (2018), while Madonna was a part of Medellin along with Maluma (2019). As early as 2020, a few reggaeton artists felt dissatisfied with the direction the genre was heading toward popular. Rauw Alajandro is a part of a new generation of musicians who are determined to shift the course. Incorporating elements of electronic dance music and different styles was an accepted procedure.
