Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent within the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via one-round TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: She took the next match with Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill, and she managed to finish her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, however Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy with a TKO. As for her final fight for the promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks by an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina and then pounded her on the ground in the second round to secure a TKO victory. She remained dominant as she picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the first round and earned a performance of the night bonus. Her first major fight came in her next fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority victory, as well as her Fight of the Night award went to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to finish Ladd and her winning streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of UFC in ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by majority decision.
