
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She also serves as captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in women's professional soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of the women's national soccer team of America along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at first place in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut with the club and assisted the team win their league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest athlete in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She was the second player in the United States with 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012, which makes her the youngest and sixth most prolific athlete in the world to achieve 20 goals in one year. She was subsequently named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of Year and was also a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. She was selected for both the Dream Team for both tournaments. In 2019, she was awarded the Silver Boot.
